Internet Businesses For Women

by Vicki Irvin on December 13, 2009

History has many stories to tell and lessons to teach. Perhaps the greatest lesson that ought to be learnt is to acknowledge women and admit that they are the just as competitive and capable as men are. To some extent there has been a shift in the scales towards equality but this is just tip of the ice berg.

The consequences of women not being given chances to run Businesses and participate in the economic growth have been catastrophic to say the least. With man at the helm, mankind faced deep economic recessions, fought bloody wars, and brought irreversible changes to the environment. Despite a need for change, the male dominated society stubbornly refused to give women a chance.

But despite the odds against women, they have proved themselves to be worthy competition. For a prosperous world, there should be no gender competition. Nevertheless it is a battlefield especially for women and they have conquered ever industry.

Women are a big part of the global work force and they are also a majority of the consumer base for most products. Hence it would do more harm than any good to continue old ways of Bias.

Women are particularly very active on the Internet. Most women working on the Internet work from home. Until recently it was the home maker’s domain but now women with full time jobs are turning to it as it is easy to own an Internet business. Internet marketing and advertising has considerable women presence. Writing is also an attractive option. Many women own writing firms and they also do write.

This and many other contributions of women on a large scale include 25 percent contribution to the growth from exclusive women businesses and the benefits to the economy by the small scale industry. The largest employer in most developing countries, the small scale industry spawns many areas of work. It is the mainstay for several million families and most of them are women owned.
