Now Why Is My Computer Slow? Is There a Cheap Answer?

A question that is asked time and time again in a lot homes is why is my computer slow? Even with excellent anti-virus and malware programs computers will have many issues as they are used more and more.

There are many ways and places to look for help for the slow computer. Computer repair and protection is an extremely large business today. But virus safeguard is not sufficient. Computers are exposed to numerous types of dangerous files that can infiltrate and corrupt even the finest computers. .

(1) First be sure to take sufficient safety measures. When you purchase a PC there will be a virus protection software available free for a “trial” period. But after this initial time you will be asked to upgrade and of course buy the software typically on an annual basis. One product, Avast anti-virus is highly recommended by a lot of computer techs. The home version is free with just an annual re-registering and entering a new registration code. It takes about 5 minutes for them to send you an email and then you just copy and paste the code. This has proven to be an first-rate protection and does a “boot scan” that other anti-virus software do not. A boot scan is performed before Windows opens on PC startup. This virus scan has found many viruses that most other anti-virus software applications have not found. This is important because of all the damage viruses do to computers.

(2) Next think about un-installing unused programs and applications. All computers have programs installed when they are brand new that are not needed or even wanted by the owner. Most of these are sales pitches for you to buy their products. To do away with un-used software applications go to the control panel and find Programs and Features. There you can select a program and un-install it. But you must be very cautious doing this. If you un-install the wrong program you may render inoperative something in your PC you do not wish to. The list does give you the date the application was last opened but the names are not always understandable enough to be sure exactly what you are about to remove. So research may be a good choice.

(3) Do a registry clean-up. The use of a registry cleaning program is the best way to repair and optimize your registry. Over it’s life the registry of any computer will become disorganized and contain errors and duplicates that will make your computer very slow. Defragging can help some but a good quality registry cleaner can get rid of and repair as well as optimize your registry data. As you do research you will see many registry cleaners available but as with most consumer items there are all spectrums of value. You can perform a free scan with the majority of these cleaners and see what errors and other issues are found. It will only take a couple of minutes for the scan to tell you whether or not your PC needs a registry cleaning. It is a safe and simple first step that can save you money and a great deal of time.

While researching the top Registry Cleaners for slow computers, you want a program you can trust, that is proven, that has a free scan, that has a great approval score by actual consumers and is simple to use.
