I know that I’m not the only person who doesn’t like the whole experience that flying in the air brings. There’s the whole issue of getting luggage together and dragging it to the airport, not to mention that I always end up laying out at least a few hundred dollars, only to end up in a situation where I’m on a crowded aircraft.
Just about everyone I know feels the same way, and there’s a good chance that you do too. Realistically, who would like the things I just mentioned? If you share my opinions, then you’ll probably be interested in reading a few pieces of the advice I’m about to share with you.
My first recommendation is to travel lightly when it comes to your baggage. Do whatever you possibly can to ensure that you can check your bag on the flight.
If you find yourself waiting for the baggage check after your flight, you’ll lose time and you’ll be tired. I’ve also known plenty of people who have had their bags lost by the airlines during their flights.
You’d be hard pressed to find many airlines serving meals anymore. Unless you’re on an international flight, you’re probably not going to be served anything more than a bag of chips. As a result, you should definitely consider bringing your own food aboard.
I don’t understand how some of these airplanes don’t give meals when you consider the ludicrous prices that we often pay for our tickets. Having said that, you can still find a number of options in your terminal so be sure to set a few minutes aside in advance to pick up some food.
Go to the bathroom before you fly. That first hour can be tedious, especially if you have to go to the bathroom but can’t get up from your seat. By going beforehand, you’ll avoid the annoyance of having to hold it in before the flight attendants allow you to go to the bathroom.
Lastly, you’ll always be better off with a comfortable pillow. The ones provided by the airlines simply don’t do the job, and one of your own will give you an extra boost of comfort that makes it much easier to sleep.
