Ms America Tells Us To Use Natural Skin Products And To Avoid Mainstream Skin Care Products.

by Peter Albertonach on December 12, 2009

You may have heard of Susan Jeske. In 1997 Susan was crowned Ms America, and has spent 20 years of her life working in the beauty field for a major cosmetics company as a beauty consultant. But Susan Jeske has changed and now spends her time touring America telling us about the risks in using modern cosmetics and modern skin care products. She promotes the benefits of natural skin products and natural cosmetics. Why has Susan changed?

A few years ago Susan had some severe skin and health problems. She was unable to deal with them successfully and so consulted a holistic doctor. His advice was that there was a good likelihood that her health and skin problems were caused by dangerous chemical ingredients in cosmetics and skin care products. He told her to stop using them and she did so, and within 2 weeks her skin and health problems were gone. So she spent some time researching dangerous ingredients in skin care products and cosmetics and was horrified by her discoveries.

It must have come as a shock to someone who had spent a good deal of her life promoting cosmetics and modern beauty products to discover that so many of these products were laced with chemical ingredients, many of which are banned in Europe, some of which are known to cause cancer, and some of which were causing her own health problems. But Susan spent some time researching this and was horrified by what she found.

The result was that Susan Jeske quit the cosmetics company and now spends her time speaking around the country warning people of the dangers of toxic chemical ingredients used in mainstream skin care products and cosmetics and other personal products.

She has even compiled a list of the 12 most toxic ingredients that you should never find listed on the label of any product you intend to apply to your skin.

Susan is not alone. There are entire organisations set up to alert consumers of the risks of modern skin care products and cosmetics. For some time I have written about this on my website can and warn about the risks of personal products and offer consumers some alternatives to buying safe natural alternatives. The FDA isn’t required to satisfy itself about the safety of any chemical ingredients used in products and doesn’t do so, and for this reason this problem continues to get worse.

Most of the chemical ingredients used by modern skin care and cosmetics companies are incredibly cheap and for this reason using them increases the profit margin on the products dramatically.

There are excellent natural products such as natural skin products and natural cosmetics which are available right now which use other nonchemical natural ingredients which are highly effective and which are also perfectly safe to use. However these ingredients are more expensive than the chemical alternatives and so are not used by the mainstream big name players.

But there are excellent high quality natural skin products as well as high quality natural cosmetics which are available right now and which are manufactured by small niche manufacturers who see an opportunity to capitalise on this problem by marketing their products to consumers who are aware of the problems with mainstream products.

If you visit Susan’s website, which you can find on any search engine, you will find out more details about her speaking tour.

And on my website you can find out more about the chemical ingredients in modern skin care products and also find out where to get safe natural skin care products which are available right now to consumers who understand the problems inherent in mainstream skin care products.
